Head of Marketing

About This Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for purpose-driven storytelling? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer Head of Marketing to lead our branding, outreach campaigns, and digital strategy. In this role, you'll oversee the development of cohesive messaging, creative assets, and outreach efforts that connect Stoic communities around the world and promote TSF’s mission with clarity and integrity.

This is a leadership role ideal for someone with experience in marketing, communications, or branding who wants to apply their expertise in service of a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of TSF’s marketing strategy, including branding, messaging, and public presence
• Oversee digital campaigns across email, social media, web, and other platforms
• Manage or coordinate the work of content creators, designers, and other marketing volunteers
• Ensure brand consistency across visual assets, voice, and messaging
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g., fundraising, community, product) to align messaging with organizational goals
• Use data to inform decision-making and refine outreach strategies
• Maintain alignment with Stoic virtues—especially wisdom, moderation, and justice—in all marketing efforts

Ideal Qualities

• Passion for Stoicism and a desire to communicate its value to a global audience
• Experience in marketing, brand strategy, communications, or digital media
• Strategic mindset with strong creative instincts and attention to detail
• Confident leading projects and coordinating a small, distributed team
• Strong writing and storytelling skills; visual design skills are a plus
• Comfortable using tools like Canva, Mailchimp/Brevo, Google Analytics, or scheduling platforms

Time Commitment

This is a leadership-level volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 3-5 hours per week, depending on campaign timelines or active projects. The role can scale based on your availability and interest in managing a broader team.
