Video Editor / Content Creator

About This Role

Are you skilled in video editing and passionate about creating meaningful, visually engaging content? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer Video Editor to help us bring Stoic teachings, community stories, and events to life through short-form and long-form video content.

Your work will support our digital outreach, educational initiatives, and storytelling across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and our website.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into compelling video content for educational, promotional, or documentary use
• Collaborate with other volunteers to develop visual narratives and storyboards
• Add music, captions, transitions, and visual enhancements that align with TSF’s voice and values
• Repurpose content into shorter clips for social media when needed
• Organize and maintain video files with proper naming and metadata
• Maintain alignment with Stoic principles—especially clarity, moderation, and creativity—in your editing work

Ideal Qualities

• Passion for Stoicism and visual storytelling
• Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
• Attention to pacing, tone, and clarity in visual communication
• Organized and able to manage multiple drafts or versions of content
• Experience with motion graphics or captioning is a plus
• Relevant experience or eagerness to learn

Time Commitment

This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 5-10 hours per month, depending on the number and length of active projects.
